Russell’s P2 in qualifying demonstrated the lightning-quick pace of the W14, with Hamilton not too far behind, starting P5.
Hamilton’s race was similar to Russell’s, although many people on social media have been speculating whether the seven-time world champion would’ve overtaken Norris and Sainz and claimed his 104th win in F1.
It was a great drive from Liam Lawson, who scored points in just his third Formula One race. Oscar Piastri fought well from P17, coming home an impressive P7 – a good day for the rookies.
